Re: 240 Cichlid tank
It’s really gorgeous! Is that a white leopard in the centre driftwood? 😍 I love the mix of wood, rock and plants. Thanks, that’s good to know as I’m def planning on 2 filters for mine. At the moment Im probably going to keep the juwel one that comes with the tank, as I don’t want to mess around with...

Re: 240 Cichlid tank
Can I be a pest and ask what filtration you are running on your tank?

Re: 240 Cichlid tank
Wow Pleco Fan those are beautiful fish! Those blues! Gorgeous! And I love the little group of Rummys - I’d be over the moon if my tank works out half as lovely as that!

Re: Discuss and Bloodworm
Ooh I’m interested in opinions about this too, it seems there are indeed mixed messages about the best food for discus out there. Most research I’ve encountered talk about beefheart mixes being the ideal (even on the breeders and specialist retailer websites), but as per Stephen’s comments on my Cor...

Re: Cory and Pleco Recommendations
Sadly we don’t have more room, this is the biggest tank we can physically go to.
That’s very interesting regarding feeding though. I might nip into the cichlids category to ask more about this, as most of the information I have found has pretty much all recommended the beefheart based foods.

Re: Cory and Pleco Recommendations
Thanks for the pleco list Stephen, having had a initial look, the Zebra seems like it might be a good fit, liking higher temps, being an omnivore and not growing too big. I’m also fairly certain I have seen these at my LFS recently too. I’ll do some more research, but that’s been really helpful, tha...

Re: Hello from Oxfordshire
LOL Gingerlove mine loves wildlife programmes, he will try to get behind the tv to see where they have gone :D He’s usually pretty good at not jumping up where he’s not meant to, we don’t let him on counters etc. But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t check them out every so often when we aren’t around.....

Re: Cory and Pleco Recommendation
Wow thank you for all the advice! I will check out those plecos and corys. Seems like sterbai are going to be the hardiest, the 3 stripe look lovely too! I’m not planning on any breeding, unless it happens accidentally of course! Gorgeous BN Pleco fan! Yes I’m in a hard water area and the tank I’m l...

Cory and Pleco Recommendations
Hi All! I’m currently planning a new tropical tank to go in my living room hopefully starting set up around or after Christmas if all goes well, with stendker discus and a group of community fish to go with them ideally. I’d love a group of corys, as I know discus can be messy and a ground cleanup c...
