I could quite easily feed 3 children on £48.95 a week. But that's not just food money. That £2,545.40 for the year covers feeding, clothing, utility bills, transport, emergency maintenance, rent. I have to say, the whole free school meals for kids during the holidays has me scratching my head. Do we not pay dole money/child support or whatever it's called to these parents, tax credits?
