The 600 pump is ok as long as you don't go anywhere near overstocking. ;)
I did replace mine with a 1000 though. :D

I'd actually have it a bit higher, remember you'll be having around 2" of sand, so it may blow/suck the sand around more at only 4" above. ;)

Dose the ferts daily instead of weekly when you get them, and dose as Stephen recommends. Shrimp don't take kindly to drastic changes in the water, so anything necessary you add will need to be built-up slowly. ;) I don't have a lot of luck with stem plants, I just keep cryptocoryne wendtii, ferns, ...

The albinos look like ghosts dancing around the tank. :)
My sterbai used to sit at the front while the pandas hid. Now I don't have sterbai, the pandas come round the front....maybe the sterbai let the albinos take all the plaudits? :D

Crypts should hide the heater when they've grown. ;)

@SnowAddict used to have an HMA filter, but then he did have the swimming pool in the garage for his fish........but he only used that for his discus as well and he had show-winning fish. :)
