Re: Back in the Game tank log

I'd probably save the ferts/liquid CO2 money and wait until the cycle is complete. The plants will get food from the cycle toxins.
It shouldn't hurt to use them, but I try to save money if I can. ;)

Re: What alternative to Bristlenose?

Sounds like the Brexit and Covid issues with transportation to me, lots of problems getting livestock in.

Re: Sexing Bolivian Rams

The tank without the kribs in would probably be ok, there are a few single cichlids which the Bolivian should be ok with.
I can't make out whether the "silver" fish is a pacu or a dollar, neither of which is aggressive, but should be in a group really.

Re: What alternative to Bristlenose?

As something that may keep the BNs from eating plants, change the cucumber for courgette, it's got more fibre than cucumber and will fill them up more. ;)

Re: Mollies and shrimp

Mollies will take shrimp, especially if they haven't grown up with them.

Re: What alternative to Bristlenose?

Have the plants got algae on?
I've noticed that the anubias in two of my tanks have got less algae, but more damage due to the BNs clearing it.

Re: Water turning green

Is the filter actually cycled?
Could these actually be bacterial blooms and not algae? It may be bacterial reflecting the plants greenery.
