Re: What is your favourite Corydoras ?

For me would have to be the Emeralds/ Splendens, I currently keep them and they have been great, they keep to the back half of the tank like most Cory but are easy enough to see with good size and great colour, Schwartzi would have to be second choice kept them years ago really liked them, Nattereri...

Re: Bronze Goldies need loving new home...

Hi, It's nice to see someone putting the fish first, I know little of goldfish but would it not be possible to rehome them to people with ponds? It's been 15oc here today so not that chilly it can't be long before pond fish start waking up, I've had the same trouble trying to rehome fish on Facebook...

Re: Smallest Powerhead or Circulation Pump

Hi, I have the same model of tank in the 60l version, luckily the fish I have in mine are all happy with the low flow, but if I wanted more I would go with an extra filter over a powerhead if it was possible to fit one in, Oase do a bioplus internal filter shaped to fit in a corner, would that fit i...

@fr499y Is TOTM running this month? I didn't see any notification, does it run continuous now, just vote for a tank that you like when you see one?

Re: Staffylover's Two 200s (Pantanal/Catfish kingdom)

Bit of an update pic on the Pantanal tank, the stem plants have gone a bit mad which is great, I am trying some Echinodorus as they look so good but they normally require more ferts than I can provide, I do use root tabs this is not normally enough, worth a try though, the hair algae is also on a mi...

Re: Staffylovers multiple tank thread

The 40L is still ticking along, it gets some BBA in the front half but the back half is completely clear, some hair algae I leave as cover for the smallest fry it's easy enough to remove when there is getting to be too much, I have a colony of black belly limia, there is only 1 adult female left but...

Re: Staffylovers multiple tank thread

The 25l tank got a new filter this week, the internal it comes with is pretty good as in it creates enough flow but the sponge is tiny, enough for the small bioload, but it was not coping with the normal amount of dead plant matter and general detritus, this meant I had to use an unguarded syphon ho...

Re: He's done it again! :@

He looks exceedingly cross about having to wear his muzzle! You are not alone in the expensive dog stakes, Denzil is on first name terms down at our local vet! last month he had a lump removed from his leg, that plus the resulting sickness, injections steroids etc has come to about 1k, I've told him...

Re: Canister questions??

Ok Thick Lipped Gourami - Trichogaster Labiosa is a bigger fish and a different shape kind of oblong! than honey gourami - Trichogaster Chuna which is a smaller fish and more rounded, both lovely fish, the Honey Gourami is more likely to struggle with flow, if you find they are hiding away it might ...
