Re: Is my red flame Tetra pregnant?

I feed them just once a day but I'll try leaving them for a couple of days and see how she fares.

Is my red flame Tetra pregnant?

Hi all. One of my red flame tetras has fairly quickly grown in size, particularly around the abdomen. Water is pH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 20. Tested using Freshwater Master Kit so fairly accurate. She(?) is swimming fine and all fish appear healthy. Is there anything I should do as I'd li...

Re: Hello From Ayrshire!

Wow, what a reply! I had made the obviously erroneous presumption that my LFS would sell fish that would be ok in the local water. I'll be sure to do my research properly in future.

Re: Setting up a new tank

Thanks for the answers, fresh water it will be! Setting up a new tank

Hello all! I have 2 tanks currently but my daughter who is 5, wants her own "fidges" 😂. I'd like to get her a small tank - 40-60L. The question is this - I regularly remove and dispose of more than 60l from my other 2 tanks when I'm doing their water changes. The fish are all healthy and b...

Hello From Ayrshire!

Hi, I'm Richard. My 7 year old son loves aquatic creatures so my GF bought him a Ciano 60L starter tank at Christmas. It came with heater, filter and lights. We bought the substrate and some live plants separately. After cycling the tank properly (an age when there's a 7 y.o. asking if he can buy fi...
