Re: Zebra Danio curved spine/lethargic
Now out of its misery
I've still got 6 healthy zebra danio in this 160l tank, and 4 in my 300l set up: Think I'll move these all into the smaller tank, still room for them. 10 together might get them breeding as well !

Thanks guys: I was thinking it maybe best to let it go
All the other fish are fine, the water is perfect/same readings as always, no signs of any illness or injury. It still saddens me to lose a fish though, even if its natural causes.

Zebra Danio curved spine/lethargic
As above, one of my zebra danio has developed a curved spine, quite a sharp sideways bend, its swimming on its side and very thin. I've searched online but cannot find a diagnosis, its eating as much as it can but struggles to get the food. I've now put it in hospital tank: what treatment would you ...

Re: Nitrites
I used Seachem Stability to reduce a Nitrite spike: only took about 3 hours to see significant improvements. I add the same every month as a water treatment/conditioner, as specified on the label

Re: Feeding live foods
I tried a tray of whiteworms that I bought on ebay, they just died! When we were kids my little sister used to call mossy larvae "Charlies" and she used to sit and watch them for ages :) I suppose I could scoop up a netful and purge them in used tank water before feeding, would that be any...

Re: Feeding live foods
I've got a old bucket full of larvae in the garden, I've considered scooping up a few and dropping them in the tanks, are there any risks such as parasites etc?

I always ask for discount, anywhere apart from Lidl etc!
I have spend a good few quid at my lfs and now when I want something I just say "how much can you do this for ?" and I always get something off. Just bought a pair of Skunk Cory, they were £13.95 each, I paid £20 for them
