Re: Mol_PMB's wildlife pond

Thanks! Sorry for not providing many updates recently. The Grey Wagtail is still a regular visitor, sometimes several times a day. Very rewarding to see it enjoying the pond. Hopefully next season I will attract some more wildlife including some amphibians.

Re: Mol_PMB's wildlife pond

Sorry for not being around for a while, life remains busy. Anyway, the pond has matured very nicely and I have attracted a new regular visitor. This Grey Wagtail sometimes comes several times a day to feed on insects, it's been a regular for the last few weeks: https://i.postimg.cc/26XFqDvq/Grey-Wag...

Re: The happy thread

I spent the afternoon in an international teleconference but my attention was distracted by the arrival of an Applehawk in my garden!

Seriously, she is welcome to the pigeons!

Re: Mol_PMB's wildlife pond

How is your pond looking now? I imagine the plants might have filled out a fair bit :) Thanks for the reminder Ric, yes things are filling out quite well though there’s still some room for growth. Re: Mol_PMB's Maldivian Biotope

There's a firm called Whitecorals who always seem to have an excellent range of coral frags, and also get some interesting fish. I first found them when googling for some particular coral species, and have kept an eye on them ever since. I've placed two orders with them and been pleased both times -...

PS the chocolate dip chromis are named ‘Dheburi dhekula nilamehi’ in the Maldivian language Dhivehi.
My shrimp goby is ‘Dingaa funna’.

Re: Mol_PMB's Maldivian Biotope

Thanks! Here are a couple of whole-tank photos, top and bottom half. The corals have a lot of growing to do yet, eventually the ones in the frag rack will be transplanted onto the rocks. So far all the new fish are doing well and feeding, they are definitely establishing a pecking order though. http...
