I've got a pair of green dragon bristlenose pleco's... which are doing what bristlenose pleco's do best.
I was wondering... can I expect all green dragon fry, mostly green dragon fry or mostly common fry?

Re: Lowering tds
Thanks guys... I'm getting inconsistent readings with my tap water at the moment - Both for gh, kh and tds reading. I checked atthe weekend and gh was 13, kh 6 and a tds reading of 385. I've tried re-mineralising ro using seachem Replenish but found that it only raised the gh and tds, kh was still 0...

Lowering tds
I've recently started taking more of an interest in getting rams... however my water is way too hard for them so I've been mixing ro with tap water to try and bring it down gradually. However, I'm still so way off and today I've noticed that my kh dropped down to below 4, how much of an issue is thi...

Re: Small Aquarium for Desk.
I must admit I'm not a big fan if the fluval edge, I think it looks lovely but it has a few draw backs... the main one for me being the access, it's tiny and makes it difficult for cleaning/maintenance... also makes it difficult to setup/decorate. The 2nd draw back for me is the light and filter uni...

Seachem Safe dosage
I've been using Seachem Prime for a while but thought that I'd give Safe a try. According to the instruction you only need 1.25g to treat 1250l or 1.25g to treat 300l of water if there is an ammonia spike (which there isn't)... this seems crazy. Anyway, I've always just dosed as per the water change...

Re: Otocinclus Catfish
I keep a female bristlenose in one of my 64l tanks and she gets on fine, I had every intention of moving her to a bigger tank but she seems happy in her current tank... as much as you can ever tell if a fish is happy, but she is feeding well, active and never caused any issues, I've had her over a y...

Re: Poorly pleco
Thanks guys... I'll do a big water change to get the FMG out and add some melafix. Unfortunately I only ever seem the dashing about late evening and even then only a couple of them so I'm not sure how long its been a problem but I did check the rest and none of them show any signs of being affected....

Poorly pleco
Does anybody have any idea what this could be and how best to treat? I've moved the affected pleco to a quarantine tank and started treating with FMG as my initial reaction was fungal but now that I've had a better look I'm not too sure. I took all the caves out of the tank and checked the other ple...
