So various chemicals that shouldnt be mixed etc which brings me back to a potential explosive environment although i have worked in an explosive environment (1st job and apprenticeship) which was fun being told you might die at 17 years old Big Grin

Smile I’m glad you know what your doing, and you’re still here to tell the tale.
All ok today? And have you discovered any fish keepers in your tea breaks?  Big Grin

Still all good, got to get to play a little today as the rest of the engineers were busy so my supervisor said help out where i can and give support, so i got asked to have a quick look at a pump on a completely different line, so off i trotted Big Grin i think my supervisor was surprised to find me just having a look to see if i could see anything obvious.
Not found any fishkeepers yet but i’m on different breaks because of the shifts im on atm. Still trying to remember names lol but i’ll get there and drive everyone mad with it like i did at my last place (everyone used to warn the agency workers rofl)

Glad you're starting to settle. Smile
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! Big Grin

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

How are you feeling now you've been there a bit longer? It is an odd feeling when you leave, for me when I left my employment it was more the change of routine that had me feeling a bit lost more than not seeing people.

Also dont feel bad if you cant remember peoples names. I returned to a previous job after leaving to further my education and even though I've been here a good few years again and I still ask what the names of people are. I worked with one lad for months and had numerous conversations before I realised I had no idea what his name was lol.

And congratulations on your new employment and I hope you settle in quickly .

Thanks MrC Smile
Yeah its not been bad, having to adjust my travel times is the biggest bit of fun because traffic is unpredictable. So the routine change is a bit weird, but i am missing some of the people i worked with.
The people are pretty nice, still learning names (its gunna take me a while).
Biggest thing i’m finding weird is not being let loose too much, because there are some problems come up and i’m thinking “just let me at it, i know i can sort it”. But my supervisor wants me doing other things atm.

That was the beauty of returning to a place I had already worked, 2 days in and I was left alone. Plus it beats training someone completely new to the job that will probably last a month or two.

Travel just sucks, luckily for me we are having a new building built and moving location in 12ish months and it's closer to me. When I was landscaping I hated being stuck in the van waiting for traffic, especially when you know what you want to accomplish that day and times being wasted.

An easy option for names is to just say 'oi/err what's it' to everyone before you start a conversation with them .
