Not likely, amanos require brackish conditions for young to grow in before they head back to fresh water, although there have been a couple of reports of a couple surviving but not in great numbers.

Yeah, they'll get much bigger and turn a dark colour. All my female amano's get like this. The males go nuts at certain times when the females obviousy come into 'heat' lol.

Eggs need to hatch in saltwater, bring up in brackish and live in freshwater. Adults can’t survive in brackish or saltwater so you can imagine how much of a nightmare it is to try and breed.
