What’s the lowest your ph kit will read? Is it 7.4 or does it go lower?

I’m just wondering if your cycle has stalled due to a crash. It happened to my tank I’m currently cycling yesterday. All was going well with the cycle then it seemed to go into reverse. A water change or adding some bicarb may help if it is crashed.

Ok. So it’s not that.

Perhaps a water change to give it a boost.

Very strange?!?

How many times have you added ammonia?
I'd do a very large water change and top up to 2ppm and see what happens.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! Big Grin

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

How much ammonia did you add all together?
If it was still 1ppm after an 80% change there must have been a lot in there......??!!
I would have actually suggested not adding any more if I'd been on last night......
