The last tetra seem to have jumped out, might of gotten spooked by the dog flying around like a headless chicken! Lost another barb today so the numbers are really dropping. No idea why, they seem to darken up a few days prior to them dropping.. Nothing seems out of the ordinary apart from the darkening of the fish itself ( almost a royal blue/black colouring )

I've just checked one of my 'go to' sources for info on fishy diseases and the most likely indication seems to be "a flagellate infection of the gut". But the source expects associated behavioural symptoms, primarily not feeding - which, by your account, aren't there.

I'll continue looking ...

Looking into the tank this morning, I've decided its time for a small rescape! The right side of the tank looks lovely but the left doesn't, so the plan is to trim the right side and plant the left to match Smile The foreground plants struggling a bit too. This could be because i put the 4 smallest crypts in and they have seriously shot up. Maybe taking all the nutrients out of the sand?
