Diamond tetras just caught a house fly...

Post by wildcherry »

God knows how...!

Hopefully it won't do them any harm...? Not that I had a chance to stop them - wee piranhas!

Here's a video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIWbDbX0Eas

Yuck...

It will do them good: natural and free range food!

Yeah, agree, a very natural thing for them to do, catch a live prey.

It's so interesting to watch natural behaviour.

I use my garden to grow fruit and veg, organically. I accept that I’ll have to ‘share’ some of the produce with insects, but in another sense I view it as a different sort of live food culture. My Congo tetras love caterpillars!

Cracking video (I've caught houseflies with the fish net and flicked them into the tank - really fires up that 'Mini-Piranha' instinct in Tetras).
