Ok do really I should possibly have asked/checked this previously but my gut says I can't be far wrong as I'm not seeing any food being left/building up on the sand.

Looks about right. Are you soaking the bloodworm and daphnia before it goes in the tank?

Needs a bit longer than that or they're likely to extract water form the fishes' guts........I usually suggest about 20 mins.

I think i'm over feeding a bit then!
I mean i currently put half a block of beefheart (twice a day) that the 6 discus seem to claim and nothing else goes near.
But then i'm putting in some fish science tropical flakes for the other fish, 1 fish science corydoras tab and then every 3 days a algae wafer
I suppose i've got 18 greedy lemon tetras and 4 pearl gouramis hacking away at the flakes mind! - and i've got a 29.5c appetite

I believe its safe to say fish will pretty much eat till they explode ;o)
IMHO its probably better to slightly underfeed, after all they will always find something to munch on from the substrate/planting and it works for me

Better to underfeed long term and in my case I don't feed at all some days, I find it always keeps the fish keen and alert.
