Floating plants...

Ooh it’s 350l but the dimensions - not sure. It’s a juewel 350 LED if that helps...

I tried Water Lettuce which I got from Ebay. Unfortunately my 3 "boy Guppies" chewed the hanging roots off the plants and plants just disintegrated. Sheer vandalism!!!. After the tank transfer due to that leak, (see other thread) I intend to get some girl guppies which might calm the vandals down as well as giving me some fishy babies. But regarding floating plants, I have tried several mosses and all seem to just break up and float around, looking lost.

Hi Ruth, nice looking tank.

I'm thinking of getting some floating plants for my tank and wondered is that Salvinia you have?

Not a clue! Maybe I could post a pic of the leaves and someone would identify it...

99% sure they are dwarf Lettuce. Superb easy floating plant which i have.

They look really cool and healthy. I need to get some of these if they are dwarf lettuce. Not sure what mine are but they are tiny compared to yours 😂

These floating plants look brilliant. Are there any that could go in my temperate tank?
64l kitchen tank: 16 golden tetra.

@Jon_D Sorry but not vandalism!

You do know Guppies and Endlers for that matter can suffer from Vitamin C deficiency. Water Lettuce has a reasonable amount of Vitamin C within the roots and even more is found in the leaves.
