If you hang on a couple of weeks I expect so many shops will have such a reduced footfall that there will be deals all over the place. Traditionally as it moves toward summer, places like MA are looking to shift tanks and cabinets they have had on display (but not used) all winter to make room for new models anyway.

My shortlist would be a Juwel Rio 240, Fluval Roma 240 or an Aqua One AquaVogue 245 (preference) - do any of these tanks have anything to be aware of? Are the canisters that come with the Fluval and Aqua One up to snuff?

In my view the manufacturers supply a filter that only allows for around 70-80% stocking.
So I would negotiate an upgrade of the filter, the upgrade will allow you to fully stock the aquarium with confidence.
Examples;
Fluval Roma 240, upgrade from the Fluval 306/307 to 406/407.
Juwel Rio 240, upgrade the 600L/h filter pump to a 1000L/h filter pump or an external filter of your choice.
Aqua One AquaVogue 245, upgrade the Ocellaris 850 to the Ocellaris 1400 or Aquis 1250.
All the best

No real reason except you will only be able to stock to around 80-90% (depending on fish species), the 407 would be a better long-term choice.
