Anybody ever used this stuff? Is it likely to be any better for corys than the unipac brand?

It is no better than a decent sand such as the Unipac brand.
It is the correct grain size.
You have to choose the correct grain size with the Unipac, I chose the Unipac Samoa fine sand (only fine in the description as they also do a coarse version).
Whichever is less expensive is the one to choose.

The Unipac Samoa fine sand grain size is 1000 µ to 1600 µ (1mm-1.6mm), Unipac Limpopo sand is 1000 µ to 1200 µ (1mm-1.2mm).

That's good enough for me Stephen, would rather avoid swapping sand in an established tank, plus Pleco poop on light sand doesn't sound like much fun to manage.

Hope you had a nice birthday!
