Howdy! Does anyone use surface skimmers in their tanks? If so, which do you use and would you recommend? Thanks.

Eheim skimmers are popular. I used a APS one for a couple of years on various tanks and found them brilliant ( and cheap )

I use a Eheim skim350, it quickly removes any surface debris and film.
It now sits in my plastic box under my aquarium as I rarely use it or need it but on the odd occasion I have used it, it quickly removes any surface debris and film and I mean quickly, after only a few minutes I remove it, clean it and put back in the plastic box under the aquarium and the water surface is clear again.

All the best

Thank you. I’ll have a look at Eheim - I have their air pump and it’s really great quality.

I’ve noticed how ‘dirty’ the surface of the tank is and wanted something to clear it up. I like the idea of not needing to run it 24/7 too.
