How much active carbon in granule or pad form would I need to use to clear my tank of chemicals (been dosing with esha) and how long does it normally take to get rid of said chemicals?

Thanks

The esha products I've been using state on the leaflet that no carbon filtering is needed after a course of treatment. They are meant to naturally biodegrade.
When I have used carbon before I just used enough to fill a tray in my external filter (i.e. Fluval canister). That was a long time ago, though. Does the carbon pack not give any indication how much is needed?

Most meds nowadays only have a half life of 48 hours, so carbon isn't usually necessary, unless you use and "old fashioned" remedy that doesn't say it breaks down in a certain time.
Water changes would be enough anyway, even if you're switching meds for some reason. ;)

Thanks guys, the only reason I'm asking is because I have 2 nerite snails and it says not to use it with snails (I have taken mine out the tank while I treat)
