I've just tested by tanks using a JBL Fe tester. All 3 are heavily planted, I add TNC Lite fertiliser and Carbon daily, and the Fe readings are almost zero in all 3
The result in each was less than 0.05 mg/l (ppm), so should I be adding something else?
If so, I ideally want something that's safe for the CRS shrimp and snails as well as the fish, any recommendations ? :D

Have you got plants that are dependent on iron?
I don't know what would be best, but it sounds like you may need to move to EI ferts where you add what you need, rather than a mix of everything......(more than that I'm lost....)

EI is too much like hard work :O Most of the plants are doing well, but a few are a little pale, and 'leggy' to use a gardening term!
I've found a few listings for Fe supplements, so will have a try at one. The TNC Lite fert is only 0.08% Fe so maybe a little boost is all that's needed.
