It’s always when you wonder where they are they’re in plain sight

one of his favourite places is on the underside of the powered filter.
As the tank is on the floor I can only see him there if I lay on the floor lol

Like me with SJP’s tank, and then she puts herself under the bit of wood that you cant see behind unless your at the back corner or looking from the back

ok so upgraded the overall fish count to 34+ as I'm sure I see more platy young. Based on sizes it appears that 2/3 survive from each birthing. Have the 2 oldest that are nearly the same length as the embers now, 2 more about half that size, another 2-3 half the size again and possibly some really really tiny ones at the back of the sponge filter

Same here! Lots of Platys now, BUT...the juveniles live in the dense plant growth, which is just where the newborns head for...the survival rate has dropped considerably, but I'm hoping my lfs is going to take all the first juveniles, which should then mean more newborn survivors

I'm thinking of moving the current adult Platys (plus the little uns as they get a bit bigger) over to Sunnyside where the water is a little harder due to the substrate etc than the Fireplace (still low for Platys at 7 but higher than Fireplace which is at 5, tap water is 3).
Then with having Angels in there as well I'm anticipating the survival rate will go down so I don't get overrun

No Sign of Mr Otto here although you may just spot the 3 different sizes of young Platys
