Sorry for your loss
Is it possible he got spooked and got stuck while you’ve been moving things around?

Ok schoolboy error when carrying out a water change (50%) this morning.
Forgot to turn the heaters off , they don't have pong when they burn out ;o)
Fortunately it was only the higher located of the 2 heaters I have in there, the second one I would have to be doing around a 90% water change to expose it.
Just checked my logs, first time I've done anything bigger than a 25% water change in here. I reckon I was at about 45% when the upper one got exposed.

Just need to position the replacement about an inch lower and I'll be fine next time on a 50%
