I’m pleased to report that I have two little ones, now about 6mm long and eating well on BBS and microworms.

I think the sand does actually help keep the fry healthy. The plant leaves are what the eggs were attached to, but also provide some cover for the fry and probably host some other micro-critters.
The two little ones are doing well, noticeably growing. I’m feeding microworms and newly-hatched artemia (BBS).
The parents have spawned again so I have added some more eggs in the other half of the nursery.

I’ve also seen a few eggs in the Cory burgessi tank, I’ve left them for now. And the twig cats have spawned again but I don’t think I’ll raise that batch as I’m trying to cut down on my tanks.

The two little oi are now big enough to eat grindalworms, and seem excited by the addition to their menu.

Pics in the nursery are tricky because it’s well-used and the plastic is no longer entirely transparent! Here are a couple of grotty images showing both of them.

You can judge their size from the terracotta rings (ex plant pot weights) which I put in there to break up the current and provide hiding places.
