So thinking ahead of when we can finally stock our 125lt tank. Tank is 60cm Wide, 40cm Deep and 57cm High.

These are the fish we like so far

-Odessa Barb X (Off the list)

-Cherry Barb

-Female guppy or Male Guppy (Not both together)

-Pygmy Cory >
.......................... > Panda Cory on the definite list
-Peppered Cory >

-Bristlenose Pleco

-Ottocinclus Affinis

The only fish we definitely want on the list are Cory, though what type of Cory they are is not important. So can we make a happy community tank out of any of the fish listed above?

I love Panda Corys, complete nutters.

Otto's in my experience are best described as "fragile"

My only concern, Odessa Barbs, beautiful fish, 125 litre maybe just a little small for them long term. ;)

Odessa Barbs A Great Planted Tank Fish. Species Profile - Pethia padamya
WARNING - DO NOT BREED, FEED OR PET THE PUDDLE! :dodgy2:

The Panda Cory sound like fun. So they will make it on my definite list :D

Am I right in thinking you got Otto's @mikeyw64 ? I don't fancy getting fish that might struggle, so if this is the case I think we might avoid them.

Bought 4, lost 3 within a day or two.

General opinion from others on this thread is that's not unusual

Thanks for the video @Martinspuddle I didn't realize the Odessa Barbs got that size. I will look into the Cherry Barbs a bit more :)

Thanks, we will have to give it some thought. Really not sure I want to get fish that appear to pretty much guarantee losing some of them.

Okay for the 125l tank this is the stock I want to get

12 Cherry Barb

10 Panda Cory

1 or 2 Bristlenose Pleco

Is the Bristlenose Pleco better off as just one on its own if I don't know what sex they are?

Do the quantities above look acceptable for this sized tank?

For the 125l I would just get one BN anyway, there won't be enough area for two.
Try to get a female, they tend to eat more algae from the glass and decorations, whereas males tend to wait for the food to be dropped in......

If you're using remineralised RO then be careful about guppies as it may be too soft for them whilst ok for the rest. ;)
