Not updated this for a while as got rather distracted by my cory fry,
no change for the 350
Upgrade may get a little closer today I am hoping to get time to go potential tank shopping later but have some house jobs to sort first, boring I know, anyway
The main reason for this post is to let @Martinspuddle know I have added 6 Xray tetras into the 180, they look great and seem to be doing well it's been about a week now, they are still small I hope they will grow enough to be transferred to the 350, do you still have yours Martin?

Don't want to leave the 350 out so here are some pics of the loaches, Bill n Ben my SAEs, one of my dwarf chain loaches, and a couple of the polka dots, also my brown whiptail as it happened to come to the front it comes out quite often much bolder than the red one but rarely to the front so glad I had my phone out,
All residents seem ok except for 1 of my rainbows it must have run into something it has a scale missing and some fuzz on it's top lip, I'm not too worried at the moment since when I first got them they all had slight fuzz on their top lips I expect from running into the glass in the small shop tank, it took some time but gradually disappeared

Nice they are some good pics
I think the thing with rainbows and fuzzy lips can be common, you may just have to increase the number of water changes or the % of the change to help it clear up if I remember correctly

No chance Ric just got lucky, they are often close to each other in the tank which is nice, they do interact quite a lot I wouldn't ever split them up,
Yours are looking great Martin, I see you have a tiger lotus lily, I had one once it looked great for a few months then faded away I think the bulb rotted, have you had yours long? Is there something extra I need to be doing to keep one alive?
In other news I have ordered the new tank no delivery date yet, work commitments make that a pain to organise but no going back now!

Never had any problems with growing Nymphaea species, if you look at my log New year, new puddle you'll see me explaining about pinching out some of the runners and replanting them.Staffylover wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 17:45 pm Yours are looking great Martin, I see you have a tiger lotus lily, I had one once it looked great for a few months then faded away I think the bulb rotted, have you had yours long? Just be careful which species you get, some get very large.

Ok thanks, might give it another try, I don't use any ferts at the moment but think I may get some then at least I can use it if a plant looks to be struggling, I do really like them, I might get one for the 350l when it has a revamp
