That means you can have a longer period in between cleaning, good news.
Andys temperate tank wrote: Sat Nov 14, 2020 20:54 pm We added another fish to the tank this evening. I'm sure it's a female hut would be happily corrected. I've had it in qt for about 8 weeks.
That is a handsome fish ::thumbu::
Cheers Stephen.

I'm guessing it's been 4 month since the filter was cleaned out. That means the fx6 should only need opening up 3 times a year.

I do swap the 45 micron pre filter sponges in the oase biomaster every week for clean ones.

I had a nice afternoon doing the water changes yesterday. Zarra took the boys out so I stuck some music on, opened a beer and cracked on.

I left the big tank till last because we went to horizon on friday and bought a few plants.

Image

Cryp undulatus, 2 hygrophila compact anubias barteri, 2 beautiful anubias nana from aqua flora and a pot of alternanthera reinekki mini. (Stephen's made me want some)

They all went in on the right hand side as it looked a bit bare. The tank has 3 more residents too. A red racer nerite and 2x horned nerite. They should clean the rocks up a bit.

The first pic in the first post has a clue about my next little project I'm having a go at.

Let's see who gets it first.

Those were the plants that went in the big tank.

And your right Ric. My qt tank is not keeping fish but I left it running since I took the ram out, theres a nice big lump of java moss in there and an air sponge so why not.

I've just took this pic of the blue ram. I'm still not sure if its male or female.
