I need to update my signature! I can’t believe how amazing it was to properly browse a fish room again. Yesterday’s little trip reminded me that window shopping is good, but today I actually bought stuff which is better.
I went with a mental shortlist of Endlers, CPDs, some kind of tetra, or something else. So as you can see I didn’t restrict myself too much except it had to be something small and OH had requested colourful.
CPDs were tiny, expensive and not yet for sale. I dithered over a few of the deeper-bodied tetras which I have never kept, especially the x rays which would suit my water. I got briefly distracted by cherry barbs. But, in the end I went for Endlers. I’ve never had them before and I confess I’m not 100% sure if they are proper Endlers or guppy hybrids? Can anyone tell from this rubbish photo?
I asked for 10, got 12. I think 5 male and 7 female although a couple are a bit small to be sure.
I also got 4 amano shrimp. I’ve kept cherry shrimp before but thought amanos would be good for this tank. I’ve seen one since I put them in...maybe I need another 4!
And a couple of new plants to fill the gaps where I tidied up this morning. Can’t fault the plants at this shop- one pot gave me 5 clumps of plant! Altogether a grand morning’s work.

I was thinking about getting some Endlers for my office tank as I lost my Betta this week. They're nice! I'm just not sure if 25l is enough for a few.

Sorry for your loss.
It’s only day one but these guys are really active, they are using the full tank at the moment.

They look like endlers from the pic.

Thanks, I thought they did too, but I’ve read so much about it being tricky to find proper non-guppy Endlers I was a little unsure of my luck!
