This log is for the tank I had previously been calling cube 2 from the my twin 55s tank log.

Up until saturday gone the tank was used to quarantine my 14 Corydoras duplicareas. They are now in Angel's delight and looking very happy.

That left me with an empty tank. On saturday morning I watched horizon aquatics latest store update video and saw a stunning betta, I showed Zarra and she agreed he was nice and sent me off to get him.

Here he is. We let Jacob name him. He is called Thor!

Last night I got some frogbit for him. He seems to like it.

Heres the tank as it looks now. Theres a bit of brown algae/ diatoms here and there but I'm winning that battle.

I'm going to add more plants soon and possibly some blue velvet shrimp if I get them breeding.

5ft 425L: 3 blue angel fish, 30 rummie nose tetra, 20 black neon tetra, 1 longfin bristlenose plec, 2 corydoras sterbai, 24 corydoras duplicareas,2 SAE.

Looks fantastic Andy. You have one lucky Thor
240L Fluval Roma with Oase 600 Biomaster: 1 German red bristlenose, 4 male cherry barbs, 6 standard rummynose, 3 golden rummynose tetra, 9 emperor tetra, 14 cardinal tetra, 2 hengeli rasbora, 3 nerite snails, 1 adult Sulawesi snail and multiple juveniles continually appearing.

Parameters: gH2, kH1, pH7.4 (tap).
Fish fiend since October 2017.

Thor got his first big water change today. I gave the leaves and glass a good clean while I was on. Then I added 3 more anubias.

The plants were from aqua flora look to be very strong healthy plants.

Big water changes and 6 hours of light is doing a job on the algae/ diatoms in the cube.

I dont think they’re bad pics Andy :D
You just have to watch them, you’ll start to notice motions etc and then you should be able to time taking the pic to catch em, thats what i did with Zissou, also works on the apistos :D

They are alright. I can get great ones of Stan. I think Thor is a bit of a k##$head. Hes not bothered about me but when Zarra comes near the tank hes straight there like a little puppy.

I might lock her in the shed with him and not let her out till she gets a perfect pic.

Zissou used to flare at my OH, not so bothered about me, probably the long red/ginger hair my OH has whereas i am completely lacking nowadays ROFL

You might be on to something hear. Zarra has long blonde hair and mine is shaved to the bone.

Bettas are baldist!
