I'm struggling to find much info about the different species of angel fish. Google searches are only bringing up articles about colours, marble, zebra, koi etc. I want to read about the requirements of scalare, pterophylum, Leopoldi.
Are they much different from each other? Any special requirements for some? Is one species more delicate than another? Can they be mixed or am I best sticking with 1 species?
I've never kept angels so I want to learn before I take the plunge.
Cheers Andy.
Angel fish species.

My scalare don’t require any special treatment - same food as other tank mates, keep the water clean... that was no help to you at all was it?! .

and Pterophyllum leopoldi
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pterophyllum_leopoldi
Nearly all scalare you’ll see are domestic, so they’re very adaptable and the easiest species to keep.
Leopoldi if you should see them are nearly all wild caught so more demanding.
Altum are very demanding and best avoided as a ‘first Angel’.
This is a very short and straightforward guide to keeping P. scalare...
