got a problem with a lemon tetra

guys got a problem with one of my lemon tetra. he( im geussing) has started sort of swimmin in one place and not getting any where, his lateral line is black and his colour has gone dark. his eyes still look bright and all the other fish seem fine. havent had a chance to test the water yet but everything else seems fine and swimming around normaly. any ideas?

I believe that's a sign of old age when they go dark. Embers do a similar thing.
How big is he?

he is fairly big , around 2 and a half inches from nose to the start of his his tail, so is it time to put him down? i alwys feel horrid doing it.

I've got a female that's been like that for about a year now, she's doing fine. She always seems worse first thing.
I'd just keep your eye on him.

Not sure how to do a link  :rolleyes:  But I have a tank log under ‘what’s happening in your tank’ called Bikini Bottom ;)  of the Sponge Bob variety not the swim suit  :D

i know.i love sponge bob. and plankton he just seems to stay in one place, he's not moving around at all, he just hovers at the middle of the back of the tank

nope just realised tonight he(orshe) fires round like a numpty at feeding time. and then grumble around for a bit then goes back to his spot. think he might be ok for a while. goin to set a new tank for them all over the next week. hopefully it wont be too stressful for him.
