The original 6 were more purple, which led me to think they may have been wild stock, but the progeny have got bluer.
I don't think anyone knows exactly why that happens with tank bred ones, could be the diet I suppose like flamingos......??????

I think it's a male.
I've lost some more of the originals lately, not sure if any of them are now.

240L Fluval Roma with Oase 600 Biomaster: 1 German red bristlenose, 4 male cherry barbs, 6 standard rummynose, 3 golden rummynose tetra, 9 emperor tetra, 14 cardinal tetra, 2 hengeli rasbora, 3 nerite snails, 1 adult Sulawesi snail and multiple juveniles continually appearing.

Parameters: gH2, kH1, pH7.4 (tap).
Fish fiend since October 2017.

They'd be fine, they're actually a little slower, but a lot bigger. :)

They're all aquarium-grown now, I'm pretty sure the original 6 have all passed.
Amazingly, they still have a purple tinge and haven't gone the blue that normal aquarium-bred fish do.
