Hi, I have had 3 Burmese Loaches for about 6 years and noticed tonight 2 of them are in one corner of the tank on the sand side by side pushing and shoving each other and digging in the sand. Both have lost all their markings. Could they be mating after all this time together. Never seen this before. Pics below of the 2 and the other one still with full colour/markings.Burmese Loaches Mating?

they change there colours if fighting or 'excitement' comes around

but sometimes loaches appear to show spawning behaviour....
What's the water like? It would need to be spot-on for them, as would the diet.
