Does anyone know if these fish went the way of the apple snail in the uk... not causing trouble here but banned regardless due to troubles in spain...
Always fancied keeping these species just for the experience but have had absolutely no luck in years of searching finding either species.
Are they banned? Iv'e checked the banned list by the government and can't seem to find them... yet none for sale.

I thought they were considered an invasive species and not allowed in the UK

It is my fear. I hope not. I have seen them for sale on google searches from around 2012 at tyne valley aquatics uk. But at that time the apple snail would still have been a legal sale.codheadjohn wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:44 am I thought they were considered an invasive species and not allowed in the UK
I wonder if it was included in the updated list of banned aquatic fauna.
