Flicking Help

Hi all,

Earlier in the week u added a couple of blue rams my tank, after a few days one of them was spinning around then being picked apart by my keyholes as it was weakening. Had to put it out it's misery earlier.

Since removing the ram earlier I've noticed the remaining ram flicking and darting about quite frantically from time to time, what concerns me more now though is that my keyhole Cichilids are now having the occasional flick off the sand too.

Is it possible this could just be stress related or should I look to treat with garlic? If so what's the easiest way to introduce the garlic?

If it’s their bellies they’re trying to scratch it’s probably worms. Sides/gills will be flukes, or some other skin parasite, or... water?

Keyholes look like they do it on their side, water is healthy been tested.

Will I ever stop quoting instead of modifying? Is it just me that does that?

You'll probably need to medicate, hopefully you can get some quickly.
It won't hurt to use a wormer and something for flukes as well.
This was similar to the reason why I got a quarantine tank after the second tank wipe-out.

I know, always say I'm gonna get one & things get in the way, ironically there's a few cheap ones on gumtree just now but can't go out for them.

So a wormer that tackles flukes any suggestions?

Is it possible it's just mating behaviour or anything from the keyholes? I've more or less accepted the blue ram is on borrowed time.

Any brand bettder than others or they all just the same idea? All available on prime thankfully.

Sterazin is good, but probably won't treat internals as well, but the Esha may be the better option?

Sterazin will treat intestinal worms and external parasites.

Primed the esha, going to put a makeshift hospital tank together and take out the obviously affected fish to reduce spread, this is all sounding very familiar!
