Avoid Betta Aquaria in Newcastle. A long time ago when it was on Shields Rd it was the best shop in the north by far. Till it got sold and moved. Last time I went it was awful.
Armstrong's is long gone BG. I used to get all of the fish for my tank from there when I was a youngun. I loved a visit, they had all sorts.
64l kitchen tank: 16 golden tetra.
5ft 425L: 7 blue angel fish, 30 rummie nose tetra, 20 black neon tetra, 1 longfin bristlenose plec, 2 corydoras sterbai, 2 SAE.

I used to get driven over from Carlisle occasionally as a young’un. Armstrongs and Betta (we had family friends in Sunderland). Got my first ever BG from there. I remember the big Asian Arowana in the display tank.
