I've just spotted 2 of the weirdest insect like creatures in my 60l planted tank.
They have - like a hermit crab, built cases for themselves from wood and leaves, and are happily scavaging around the tank.
I'm fairly certain from googling that they are Caddisfly larvae.
Does anyone know if they are dangerous. This tank is a guppy breeding tank, with shrimp and ottos too.

From a bit of a look online it may be best to remove them to a pond, most eat decaying plants and algae but some are predatory and could eat baby shrimp.

They may also take small, resting fish.
Move them to a pond.
