which % is best/safest to use?

I see it on Amazon anywhere between 3 & 11.99%

I'm presuming 3% is fine as that seems the most common

actually I'm thinking rather than spot dosing I could just remove the bogwood and associated Java Ferns from Fireplace (I'm just trying to get rid as complletly as possible as the touch of blue-green algae that keeps cropping up although fortunately it's not rampant, been curtting oot affected areas but there is still some on the bogwood) ) and treat in a separate container (with my old aqua one to provide water flow) based on this method, maybe even using a slightly higher concentration as there would be no fish present

I’ve done it in my water change buckets, where i’ve had the decor out and dosed directly before adding back to the tank.
As far as i know it shouldn’t make a huge difference with the strength as the reaction of hydrogen peroxide in water gives you water and an extra oxygen molecule. The reaction is also pretty much instant and as long as you don’t directly squirt it on your livestock they should be fine.
Either way the 6% did wonders to help me when i had an algae issue :)

It was the comments about the potential impact to beneficial munchers got me thinking about doing it in a separate container

The only reason it would affect munchers is if you put it directly in/on the filter......it would have broken down before reaching the filter if syringed in the water.....
