That's fungus, probably following damage.
Ive got king british white spot control, malachite in the ingredients, is that useful or is it one of those things that clears up over time, also, my air line pipe has got a load of white slime all over it, never seen that before?

White slime is infusoria, or something akin to it.
Waterlife Protozin apparently deals with fungus, I don't think the King British whitespot stuff will.

So i tried germinating my seeds, i think im going to have to do it in actual compost/soil, tried it in course aquarium soil thats like gravel but its done nothing at all for the last 7/8 days... should i try compost? Im not sure what to do the seeds are TINY but i want that carpet plant on the bottom of my tank
