I've fallen in love with ottocinclus as an alternative to pleco, they are the perfect community algae eaters and will be way more visible then a pleco.
120l tank will easily hold 6 and they are so great to watch

I too like ottocinclus, but my daughters favourite fish are Cardinal Tetras and Plecos....so as I'm just an "advisor" for the tank we'd better stick with the Pleco lol

Otos tend to be wild caught and sensitive, they also require soft water :)

Hello and welcome.

I will create a stocking list for you, if you wish.
It will be totally compatible to your tank size, water hardness and tank water temperature compatible.

Just let me know. ;)

Stephen

ps
Which filter do you have?

Hi Stephen, thanks very much, that'd be great. If possible to include cherry barbs, dwarf gourami, Bristlenose and some form of tetras as they're firm favourites. I have a Aquaflow 300 internal filter that came with the tank.

If they are compatible then I will include them. :)

I have excluded the Bristlenose due to the lack of filtration, you would require a filter upgrade if wishing to include a Bristlenose.
The fish listed below should all be fine in you water and at 24C (75F).
This represents about 80% stocking level but only about 85% filter compacity. (see my notes below)

6 x Cherry Barb (Puntius titteya)
1 x Dwarf Gourami (Colisa lalia)
9 x Pristella X-ray Tetra (Pristella maxillaris)
6 x Venezuela's or Orange Spot Cory (Corydoras venezuelanus)

To include a Bristlenose plec then I would suggest a filter upgrade to something like the SuperFish Aqua-Flow 400 internal filter.
The SuperFish Aqua-Flow 400 internal filter will give approx. 800L/h flow-rate compared to the Aqua-Flow 300 which only gives approx. 540L/h flow-rate.
The bigger the filter then the better the flow-rate plus more media to cope with the additional bio-load.

All the best

Thanks for your help Stephen. Any suggestions on which order to introduce them? And any essentials to what else to have in the tank when it comes to plants/ornaments? I was hoping to get away with only artificial plants.
Thanks

You want to add the most agressive/territorial fish last. Possibly the dwarf or cherries.
