tested again there now and is at or slightly over 5mg/l so going the right way, will monitor if over the next week and se where we are. Fish eating well and nothing looks a miss.

@Vale, one last thing, I usually try getting my water in or around 24 degrees when adding it to the tank, usually by cold tap water and boiled water, I'm guessing using boiled water is going to dramatically reduce O2 levels in my water mix to be added to my tank?

I don 't think that the relatively small volume of boiled water would be of any real significance, Fishy.
