Yes, the albinos must have red/pink eyes. The super reds don't (they have black eyes) and the colour is more red than the albino gold/yellow.

Tetras are soft water other than the X-ray, plus you get much better displays and behaviours from one bigger school of 1 species instead of 2 smaller groups.
240L Fluval Roma with Oase 600 Biomaster: 1 German red bristlenose, 4 male cherry barbs, 6 standard rummynose, 3 golden rummynose tetra, 9 emperor tetra, 14 cardinal tetra, 2 hengeli rasbora, 3 nerite snails, 1 adult Sulawesi snail and multiple juveniles continually appearing.

Parameters: gH2, kH1, pH7.4 (tap).

Hi, Xray tetra are a great fish, I can think of a few small tetra that might cope with hard water but not sure about the PH most would prefer neutral I think, how about something different like the rainbows as previously mentioned? Threadfin look lovely though I am yet to try them, also there is Celebes, only just got these so too early to comment the only thing is they are quite a 'see through' fish which might be too similar to your Xrays, most commonly available fish come from S.America which is soft water but there are some great alternatives just have to be a bit selective :)

I wouldn’t go with threadfins they prefer softer water ;)
Celebes are a good shout and adults in good condition are quite striking. Pretty sure @KevB had some a little while back. You could also look at forktails (pseudomugil furcatus), i did also keep p. signifer for a little while but my water is a little softer than yours (not by much though ROFL)
