A wave maker will do the flow and help with oxygen exchange, no need for an air pump.
You will need a powerhead to pump water from Tank > Chiller > Tank. This can be done with a canister filter with no media inside which would be my go to solution.
Where are you based? I might have some pumps/canister filter etc that could be of use ( and cheap lol )
Advice sought for new (slightly unusual?) project

Thanks!
... more questions from a now squirming brain though...
The guide I'm following suggests using natural seawater and replacing it weekly.
Lugging 250kg of liquid into school every Monday morning sounds like a load of fun.
And I'm worried about parasites, infection and contaminants.
Would a 'reef mix' be sufficient?
If so, what would its 'shelf life' be?
And would it need to be supplemented with additional nutrients?
Thanks again,
Pete

Any marine salt will work well. They’re extremely accurate in their makeup, minus pollution and life forms, so probably better than seawater. Kept dry they last a few years.
