IIRC Tap water GH is 12 and KH is 8. Can't say I've tested GH in the tank since I set it up! Would 12 be too high? and would you consider that hard?black ghost wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 20:10 pmIgnore the pH, it’s not important, as long as there are no big sudden changes. The hardness (GH) is what matters.

I’d call that medium hard. It’s not great for Blue Rams. Domestic ones may be ok but it’s a risk.
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

Checked the GH this morning and the tank is 8 and tap is indeed 12.black ghost wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 20:10 pmIgnore the pH, it’s not important, as long as there are no big sudden changes. The hardness (GH) is what matters.
