Hi.
I have a chance of buying a Fluval Roma Aquarium 125l.
It's the old type with two T8 tubes and not LEDS.
The hood had quite few water stains on it, and I was wondering is it possible to spray the hood with a fish safe rattle can paint, (staying with black) which also won't peel or flake? and the black strip which hides the water level to match?
Many thanks for any replies.
Steve.
Spray hood?

There’s a few acrylic sprays which would be fish safe once dried/cured.
Sorry to get back so late.
Do you think it might peel/flake with the heat of the lights?
I could very finely key the surface with a bit of wet and dry, I suppose.
I can't find where to turn on email notifications of replies.

Depends on the paint you use. there’s a few acrylic paints out there that can withstand higher temps.

These stains, are they chalk stains?
If they are, soak in white vinegar. They look like new when done.
