Good luck in your new venture VM.
We ran hotels and pubs for a while but we used our accountant to look after staff wages etc. The rest of it we did ourselves, a steep learning curve.

I have got myself a tame accountant! He's been a friend for a few years (well, he's the director of the music society I used to do shows with until last year when the toddler got too much). He popped over after a Facebook plea and he'll help out with everything. Phew!
Another week of everything seeming to go ok with the tanks. Think there's been yet another Rummynose spawning but don't think we'll ever raise any fry in the tank. Due a water change tonight for the minnow tank to raise gH and temperature again.
Suse...I thought about hose last year but the water is too cold and can't use our hot water due to the ancient boiler. So it's buckets with 8L cold, 2L freshly boiled.

Midst water change of the 240L. Gave the filter sponges a squeeze tonight too so now the tank looks manky rather than clean but hey ho. Trying to get into better filter maintenance routine (i.e. remember to do something with them every now and again!).
I've shifted over an anubias Nana and 3 rocks from T3 (after a quick dip to hopefully get rid of any snails as I like my big tank snail free). I can only spot 4 Boraras in T3 so I really am losing them more than I'd like. Hoping for a better survival rate in the big one! Did some pruning and cleared handfuls of floating plants whilst I was at it. Tomorrow night I will shift over the remaining Boraras and switch the plants over into the minnow tank whilst my girls are here to interior design/aquascape.

So there were still actually 7 Boraras in the nano! So I hadn't lost more than I knew about; huzzah! They look so much better in the big tank.
And the minnow tank is no longer the tank of shame as it has real plants now and the girls are very happy with it. Will switch over the heater for my better one tomorrow with their water change, and also give them the quieter air pump. Photos will follow. T3 is officially shut down. Will give it a clean tomorrow and get it up on local selling groups hoping for a weekend buyer. Sad to lose it but needs must and the funds will mean I can buy partner and daughter birthday presents (40th and 13th).

Sounds like a result to me, well done!
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it!
Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!
