want to try a ind a way of having the fish activly look for food as opposedd to just being in a big ball when i drop flaake or frozen in. dont want to drop in cubes of rozen as they might get little ice cream headaches. think it might be good for theem, and interesting to watch, if they have to ferret about to get dinner.
any ideas?

yeah, would do that, but my nearest fish shop is 3/4 of an hour away. i do get them live when i pop in though.

For my cichlids and cory I also use sinking granules and they have to rummage around the sand to get it which is a natural feeding method.
The tetra also get granules and sometimes flake and they have to compete for it with the other tetra as the food moves around the aquarium.
It is all natural behaviour.

I thaw a cube of bloodworm and then kind of waft it around in a net. Disperses them enough for plenty to reach the bottom for the Corys and makes the Harlequins & Gouramis dash around competing for them.

I use a huge syringe to squirt food around the substrate, and into plants, the fish then rummage about to find it.

by the way i aplogise for the spelling, got a problem with the lap top and it sometimes either doesnt put letters in or adds to many. if i dont proof read it , i'm buggered sometimes
