Did you blanch the lettuce?
Remember that it has soporific qualities, and you don't want to think he's popped his clogs....... ;)
I'm not actually sure what it would do to small organisms.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Looks good. I’ve done the same but around the bottom of the stand on the Sooperhooge. Not very gadgety though as mine are only controlled by a remote :D

Blaaaaargh.

Woke up this morning to find one of my Black Mollies covered in White Spot.

When I did the water change on saturday I noticed right at the end that the boiler had cut out so a good portion of the new water went in cold, probably upset things with the temp drop.

Ordered some treatment online but not here until tomorrow.

I've read that increasing temp and aquarium salt also can help? I have a carton of API salt sitting around.

That's a bummer.

If all the fish in the tank can tolerate it, then slowly increase the temp over the course of a few days. Do your treatment (when it arrives) but keep the temp raised. Only after treatment ends slowly drop the temp back to its usual level. (Its been a while I had to do this but I remember it actually made a difference in getting rid of the whitespot.)

Not sure about salts, other than that mollies, in general, like a bit of it in their water.
