As Si says dont over do the bacter ae.
I use it once a week,I make a mix in some tankwater,1/3 scoop of bacter ae and 1/2 scoop of spirulina powder.I turn the filter off for 20 mins and pour it all around the tank give it time to settle.
Think of it more as a biofilm food than a shrimp food.

I'm really pleased to have them breeding so soon after getting them, 2 out of 10 must be good going! Plus the 6 Ramshorn snails have been having fun, must be 30 babies in there as well :)

Just make sure they have a calcium boost for moulting when they drop the babies. ;)

I've been adding a pinch of ground eggshell every few days, feeding them shrimp wafers, and adding the Bacter AE, but tiny doses as advised.
They are moulting well, as far as I can tell, found about 6 moulted shells in the last few weeks. What's the best temperature for the tank ? Its has the shrimp and 12 neon tetras and Ramshorn snails...loads of baby ones now!

I'd say around 22C is about right, I don't think the shrimp will want it much warmer than that, the neons will be happy at that.

Ok thanks, looks like the tests are all bang on: temperature 22.4 deg C, ph 6.8, GH4, KH 0, nitrate 5-10, TDS100
I do a 10% water change every 3 days or so and have swapped the internal filter for a air/sponge one :)
Is the Bacter AE and fish food and shrimp flakes all the babies will need?
