I’ll have a look. She’s getting old now. I rescued her over a year ago and she was a fair age then. I could get a refund on it if I place things in it and think it’s too small. I appreciate your concern for a wee creature tho and I will def think before I move her into it.

Ruth wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2019 20:43 pm Yeah - it’s 70cm, will have two levels - it’s a good wee home for her! Thanks for the concern tho - I never mind someone with my animals well-being first and my feelings second!! Thanks x
I’m afraid we’ll have to agree to disagree - it’s not big enough - 80cm is bare minimum width-wise. I have dwarf hamsters and a robo’ too and I wouldn’t house one permanently in one of those tanks. When you measure the internal part they’re smaller than you think as the base slopes inwards unlike a glass tank which has straight sides.

Hi! Look I want to thank you for stopping me and making me think about my wee Hammy. She deserves the best and not the minimum I can give her. I’ve thought about it and done some research and you are right! I rescued her to give her a better life and I can spend an extra 30 or so quid to make things good for her, not just almost satisfactory. Good call and keep standing up for the wee critters!

Little Anistasia will thank you too. Shopping tonight!!.

How old are your gold gourami?
You do realise they have the potential to get to 8", the same as the angels, don't you?
I think you've only got one male gourami, which is good. :)

I’d say the gourami are about 2 or 3 now. The guy in the shop thought he had got me a Male and 4 females, so I’m glad you agree! Incredibly peaceful big things. I’d say the biggest one is about 5 inches now. They eat flake from my fingers!

Ano - I’m taking a risk with the angels and I’m keeping a close eye. There seem to be places where the angels can go to get away from each other, but they only seem to need it at the minute at the end of feeding time.

Doris the ram rules the substrate and the gourami and angels are ignoring each other in the upper levels.

Nicely busy tank, looking good. Apart from the size issue/stocking level when fully grown, I have never had any problems keeping gouramis and angels together. As you already noticed, they tend to ignore each other.

And well done on the video upload :D

Thanks Ric. I go from feeling slightly guilty about what I have possibly inflicted on my tank, or the angels to thinking - if it works they are all very content and chilled!! The angels and Doris the ram all come over to the glass to me and I told all 4 of them last night while I had them together that they are to behave and keep the peace in the tank!! 🤪

Do your angels come to see you? They seem to have bags of personality!

I don't have angels now but yes, they are greedy little critters. So any approach to the tank and they would greet me enthusiastically, always hoping for food :D
